Set up in 2008, Saintfield Physiotherapy is owned by Lisa Mary Torrens, MCSP, HPC, Cat. A ACPAT, who specialises in sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
Lisa graduated from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and worked for 3 years in the NHS, gaining experience across multiple disciplines of Physiotherapy, including Rehabilitation, Neurological and Orthopaedic conditions.
Following that, she undertook a postgraduate placement with the Sports Institute of Northern Ireland (SINI) based at UUJ, where invaluable experience gained in the treatment of sports injuries and conditions in high-performance and elite athletes.
In addition, she followed up on her lifelong love for animals - and horses in particular – by gaining her Category A status with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT).

Hi, I graduated from the University of Ulster in 2015 & got my first post in the NHS in early 2016 where I work as a specialist physiotherapist. I have 6 years experience in treating musculoskeletal problems & sports injuries. I have a special interest in rehabilitation including neurological conditions, fractures and surgery. I am currently pursuing a Master’s qualification in Advancing Practice.

Rachel McMullan MCSP. Rachel has been working full time in NHS since 2021 within different areas including Respiratory, Paediatrics, Musculoskeletal and Rehabilitation. She has undertaken various post grad courses including Level 3 Sport Massage and Lower Limb Return to Play. Interests outside work include outdoors and horse riding.
